Box office software that shares one inventory with your website.

Sell walk-ups at the door on event night — cash, card or bank transfer, general admission or reserved seats — from the same event your online checkout is selling. Nothing held back, nothing double-sold, nothing to reconcile.

Box office software sells tickets at the venue on the day — walk-ups, phone orders and comped guests — from the same inventory as your online sales. BoxOfficeTech includes it as part of a white-label event ticketing platform rather than as a separate product: the counter and the website are one system, so a seat sold at the door disappears from the website immediately, fees and sales tax are calculated by the same code both ways, and door takings land in the same reports as everything else.

At the counter

What your staff can actually do on event night.

One inventory, two channels

The counter sells from the same event as the website. Nothing is held back for the door, nothing is double-sold, and there is no end-of-night reconciliation between two systems.

Reserved seats at the counter

For assigned seating your staff use the same interactive chart the buyer sees online — zoom in, take the two seats they are pointing at, done.

Cash, card or bank transfer

Cash completes on the spot. Card is entered by your staff and settles to your own merchant account. Bank transfer gives the buyer an exact amount to send and sits in a queue until someone approves it.

The server quotes the total

Fees and sales tax are calculated by the same code that prices an online order, so the amount on the confirm dialog is exactly what gets recorded. No till arithmetic.

Waive a fee, apply a coupon

Staff can strike the service fee for a walk-up or apply a promo code, and the total re-quotes as they do. Sales tax is never waivable.

Member benefits follow the buyer

If the person at the counter holds a membership, their discount applies — resolved from their email address, not from whichever staff account is logged into the till.

Why one system matters more than it sounds

The reconciliation problem is the reason most venues end up unhappy with a separate box office tool.

Run the door on one system and the website on another and you inherit two jobs. You have to decide in advance how many seats each channel may sell, which means either holding stock back from the website or risking selling the same seat twice. And at the end of the night someone has to reconcile two sets of numbers that were never going to agree.

Sharing the inventory removes both. The counter draws from the same event record the checkout does, so the last seat can be sold by whichever channel reaches it first, and the reports were never separate to begin with.

After the sale

A door ticket is an ordinary ticket.

The ticket scans at the gate

A door sale produces the same QR ticket as an online order, so it validates in the scanner app like any other — including when the venue has no signal.

Door sales are in the same reports

Walk-ups appear in the orders list, the revenue figures and the payout maths alongside online sales, filterable by payment method when you need to reconcile the cash drawer.

Every sale is attributed

Each door order records which staff member took it, and an optional note. Refunds and cancellations carry the same attribution.

Questions about the box office

  • Box office software sells tickets at the venue on the day — walk-ups, phone orders and comped guests — from the same inventory as your online sales. The point is that the counter and the website are one system, so seats cannot be double-sold and there is nothing to reconcile at the end of the night.
